This is de must-go place whenever we went to Malacca for holiday..de food is great, n a tad spicy for me, but i still luv it..we ordered a total of 7 dishes --- their famous Curry Debal Chicken, Baked Fish, Fried Squid ( Calamari ), Curry Pineapple Prawn, Black Pepper Crab, Chilli La-la & Sambal Kang Kong..my fav are the prawn n squid ( although i'm not a big fan of sotongs..haha )..nice nice..slurps~~

ok..now time for my story on my 1st surgery in 21+ yrs of my life..haha..sound serious..juz a narration of wat i've gone thru..it doesn't hurt wat to expect if u r de next one goin for de extraction..wahahaha

My original appointment date n time is @ de Alexandra Hospital at 9.30am..but due to unforeseen circumstances, my assigned dental surgeon Dr Wu ( was initially told dat she's a very gd one ) wasn't able to perform de extraction for me..so it was changed to 11.30am de same day, but den i recived another call from them informin me dat de surgeon was unable to make it..so de final appointment was set @ 3pm de same day, by another surgeon Dr Hur..all well..all i want is to get my wisdom tooth out..n dunno for wat reason, my wisdom teeth on my left began hurtin de night be4 de surgery..mayb they r protestin against de operation..wahaha..我想太多了..haha..

met up wif my mum @ de Alexandra Market for my last decent meal ( well..at least for de next 2 wks or so )..haha..had a big bowl of my all-time fav prawn mee ( de one where u can add de chilli powder )..after dat we walked to de hospital to register some stuff 1st..

@ abt 2.45pm de dental assistant took my blood pressure n stuff..@ dis pt i was beginin to feel nervous..cant blame ma..de 1st time goin under de knife k..literally..haha..anyway, i was ursherd into de surgery room n made to lie on de rather small surgery bed..it's really quite small, coz there's hardly place for me to place my arms straight..n i'm not dat 宽 also k..haha..

@ 3pm sharp, Dr Hur came in n i'm surpised @ how young she is..mayb ard my sis' age..she's rather friendly, greetin me n explanin de procedures on how de surgery will go abt..she also ask if i mind if she's operatin on me instead of Dr Wu..of coz i say i dun mind lah..wat de heck can i do wif me already lying like a dead fish on de bed?? wahaha..i koe she's juz doin de routine stuff, but dat's wat i think lah..

she gave me a bitter cream to bite on de wisdom teeth on my left for a few mins or so in order to numb de gums abit..n de surgery began..her assistant covered my whole face wif some shhets/cloths, leavin an opening for my mouth..@ dis pt i really laugh out, coz it makes me feel dat i was goin for some major operation ( like those in de tv shows ) rather den a simple extraction..haha..anyway, Dr Hur proceed to give me an injection on both upper n lower gums where de teeth r to further numb it..she did abit of checking here n there n gave me a 2nd round of injection @ de same places..she informed me dat she's goin to tk my upper tooth out 1st n i shouldn't feel pain, only pressure..true to her words i only felt pressure, huge though, like somethin pullin against my tooth..de top one came off easily without much work, but she told me dat it's abit decay coz i din manage to brush properly as it's too inside liao..

now comes de bigger job..my lower left wisdom tooth is de main culprit to my recent dental pain as there's not enough space to grow n it resulted it growing abt 45degress towards my left cheek..Dr Hur began workin on it, n soon she find out dat dis tooth is too stubborn..so guess wat she told me?

"Ms Wu, I'm goin to cut the tooth in order for me to extract the whole thing"

so de next thing i heard is de sound of those drilling machine dat de construction workers use @ de worksite n felt it workin in my mouth..it sounds rather uncomfortable, n i recall wat de previous dentist who did de X-ray on me asked,

"Are you scare of drilling sounds in de dental surgery room"?

no wonder lah..at dat time i wonder wat de drilling has to do wif tkin out my tooth...haha..

after much drillin done in my mouth n de pressure of removin de tooth, she finally say de words dat i've been waitin for,

"Ms Wu, the tooth hv been removed..we r now cleanin up de area"


u cant imagine how relieved i felt @ de pt..de 1st part's finally over!!! de 2nd part is of coz de aftermath of de surgery.. (-_-")


i was den taken to de recovery room to rest, but i felt surprising well..juz abit of swelling on de left side of my face due to de injections..i was restless waitin there so i went out to my mum, who's waitin for me @ de waiting area..i cant even tok to mum n gesture to her wat de surgeon did to me..haha..den de assistant called me n asked me not to wander abt..haha..felt like a kid @ dat pt --- being scolded for not following instruction..not dat she scolded me..de assistants there r all rather friendly..after restin for some time, de assistant took my blood pressure n checked on my bleedin..seein everythin was ok, she inform me dat i can go home..after settlin some stuff like de next appt dat n medical leave, i was free to go after collecting my medicine!!!
